Company Information
Crawford’s operates as a Sole Practice with two serving partners. The business was established in 2006 out of a desire to offer personal supportive accountancy services to small owner managed businesses. They pride ourselves on serving any small business – from butchers to bee-keepers. As an owner-managed business themselves, they understand their clients need for simplicity in explaining and interpreting accounting data, objectivity in providing the independent eye, support in providing up-to-date and relevant business news and transparency in their charges and working methods.
Website Requirements
Our client's old website was provided to them free by their local branch of business link, supporting new businesses. They were, indeed, grateful for the assistance at a time when cash was very low. They had many comments the old site was professional but increasingly felt the need for a more interactive site.
Nadine Crawford-Piper went on to say "We were approached by The Holt Partnership about a year before we changed our site, enquiring as to whether we needed a website. Mr Stanic’s approach left a memorable mark and as soon as we were able to afford the cost of a new website, we contacted him.
We are very pleased with the quality of the website and its interactive abilities. We intend to maximise the marketing potential of the site and are very happy with the news feature which gives us the ability to update our site with the latest news information, relevant to current and prospective clients.
Website Template Modifications
The biggest change to this Template, was to introduce our client's corporate colour, magenta, into the overall design. Colour pictures were also used throughout the site. The main Navigation Menu was edited to meet our client's own requirements and the page footers were edited to give a cleaner design and also included the removal of a the Newsletter box (not required).
The News section was removed from the homepage and a more useful Practice summary included, instead. The default Solutions layout was modified and used for the About Us summary page. The layout of the Contact page was changed to include the On-line Form at the top, with details of directions to our client's premises. A new pop-up window was also created to show an interactive location map using Google Maps.
A new page layout was created for all the detailed pages and a new sub-menu was created for each of the main areas of the Website.
Our News Management Add-on module was integrated into the overall Website design and allows our client to add an unlimited amount of their own News Articles.
