Company Information
MX Moto are an Essex based company and have been specialising in Vynal Graphics for the Off-road Moto-cross industry. They offer a wide range of high quality graphcs, covering nearly all the main off-road motorcycle suppliers. They are also actively involved in giving something back to the industry by sponsoring some of the area's best, up-and-coming young riders.
Website Requirements
Since MX Moto's products are of interest, internationally, one of the main requirements of having an Online Shopping Website was to make their products available to a much wider audience. This offered big savings compared to the more traditional printed Catalog approach.
Being international, the new Website also had to be multi-currency, multi-lingual and offer facilities for, automatically, calculating delivery costs to various countries of the world. Added to the main shopping facilities, there was also a requirement for a Photo Gallery system to help display pictures of MX Moto's sponsored young riders.
Website Template Modifications
After selecting one of our Ready-made Website Templates, based on one of the World's leading Shopping Engines, the system was installed and a MySQL Database created, to store information from the shop.
The main Website Banner was changed to include the client's own graphic. The client's logo was also added at this stage. During the course of development, we also enter the first ten products and associated categories and sub-categories. The shop is also configured to meet our client's exact requirements. Amongst other things, this includes setting up delivery methods and costs and instructing the system, if VAT is to be included in the list price or shown separately.
Significant modifications were also made to the basic system. This included: the facility to generate Search Engine friendly URLs; the ability to define different delivery charges for various zones, such as, UK, Europe and the USA; The ability to create delivery methods, such as, First Class, Next Day etc; a report showing low stock items; Image enlargement pop-up to include product details and the ability to automatically close; the ability to easily add an unlimited amount of information pages; all text entry screens, such as, product entry, includes a Rich Text Editor, making it much easier to format text; improved Product Option facilities; and finally, the ability for visitors to complete additional product information fields.
The overall shop design was also recoded to allow our On-line Photo Gallery System to be integrated with the main Website.
