Company Information
Established almost 20 years ago, S Kelly Building Contractors Ltd is a family run business, expanding from their founders own home, to 2 rented garages, and then via their warehouse in Kensal Rise, to their current 1,400 square metre headquarters in Harlesden. The family philosophy forms the backbone of their company and they are proud, their core values of honesty, quality and commitment have allowed them to build such a solid foundation of core clients.
Website Requirements
Like many businesses deciding to implement a new Website, the overriding reason was, simply, peer pressure. The notion that, by not having a Website, could, perhaps, be detrimental to how business associates and potential clients view the company. The site is, primarly, aimed at those who already know about our client. With this in mind, a Policies page was created, making it much simpler and quicker for clients to retrieve. The Website, also gives our client the opportunity of displaying some of their projects, giving visitors to their Website, a visual picture of the quality of their work.
Website Template Modifications
For all pages within the Website, the main Page Header and Navigation Menu were changed. This included, inserting our client's own logo and changing page desciptions in the Navigation Menu.
The Homepage/About Us page was based, closely, on the default design, with the exception, of including key Trade Logos at the bottom of the page. Our client decided to use their own pictures.
A new page layout was created for each of the detail pages, giving more space to include written content. It also gave our client the opportunity of including more pictures of their work.
The default layout of the Portfolio Page was used. Our client supplied their own pictures and when clicked, the picture opens in a much larger, new Browser Window.
The default Contact page was reused in the actual design.
For our client's Policies Page, summaries were given for each of the policies, with hyperlinks to PDF versions of the documents.
