We offer two types of Custom Designed Web Pages; Design and Database Applications.
Our Design services offer an alternative to our ready-made Customised Website Templates and is ideal for customers with specific design requirements. Prices start from £1,295 (plus taxes where applicable). Our Database services are geared towards complimenting the Website Solutions offered in our Small Business Web Applications.
Designing the look and feel of your Website
It may look a simple process, but designing the look and feel of any Website, depends on many factors. Apart from the issues mentioned in our Web Requirements page, the following points also need to be discussed;
- General look and feel
- Example of other Websites you like.
- Regarding above, be careful not to base your own Website on poorly designed Websites that may be a little outdated.
- Fixed width Design (Similar to our Website Templates) or
stretch to fit Browser Window. - Top and second level navigation structures.
- Font types
- Size and colour of font types for basic text, paragraph headings and other page headings.
- Bullet point Images or effects.
- Overall colour schemes and use of "white space".
- Page layouts (most good Websites include at least five
different page layouts in their design). - Amount of text to include.
- Animation effects or transitions.
- Design graphics/colours for defining different areas of the web page.
- What picture sizes are going to be used throughout the Website and how are they formatted and displayed.
- How are text links to be displayed
- How are Navigation Buttons to be displayed.
- Techniques/graphics to be used for hyperlinks to other areas of the Website.
- How are web pages to be developed to minimise keystrokes.
- What are the ratios between picture and text coverage on each page.
- How will visitors be encouraged to visit other areas of the
Website. - Other design details
Even if you decide not to use our Customised Website Templates, they still remain a good source of ideas. By reviewing them and making notes of particular design elements you like, can significantly reduce development time and, therefore, costs.
Once we have a feel for your design requirements, a "mock-up" will prepared for one of the key pages and emailed to you for approval. Once approved, web pages will be developed for other areas of the Website and sent to you for approval before coding commences. At this stage, the project will then follow the same process as our Website Templates.
Database Applications
In all instances, we initially look to satisfy customer requirements by putting forward Small Business Web Applications. Apart from removing the need to "re-invent the wheel", costs are a fraction of what they would be, if developed from new. Our Add-on modules are a good example of this approach. Being able to integrate best-of-breed Website solutions, specifically, developed for integration with existing Websites, is now the preferred option for Web Design Firms, keen on offering customers real value for money.
Where there are no ready-made Website solutions to meet customer requirements, we can develop bespoke Database Applications based on the World's leading MySQL & PHP Server model. Typical solutions include creating Member systems allowing customers to log into password protected areas of the Website.
