No, is the short answer! We have made Web Design a relatively straight forward process and no on-site meetings are required. Your new Website can be up and running in a matter of weeks rather than months. Our internal processes are as follows:
Is Distance a Factor
No, is the short answer. All clients, irrespective of where they are located, receive, exactly, the same level of service. Fortunately, since Web Design is an Internet based service, there is no need for any on-site meetings. Customer requirements are easily handled by either, telephone, Email or Voice Chat via the Internet. Face-to-face meetings can easily be arranged by using modern communication methods, such as, Skype or MS Messenger.
Confirmation
Once we have discussed your requirements, the first step is for you to send us an Email confirming you wish to move ahead with the project.
Confirm next steps
We will send a reply to your Email confirming the web development process and next actions. At this stage, and due to the nature of Web Design, we will require payment in full for orders under £1,500 before commencing the project. Orders over this amount are 75% on order and the remainder paid two weeks after uploading the new Website to the Internet. For initial Website design and any Add-on Modules, payment can be made either, Online or by cheque.
Process Document
Once payment has cleared, we will send our Process document for you to complete. This document is in Microsoft Word format and enables you to define any alterations to be made to the basic Web Design. This approach allows you to edit the basic Website content at your own pace. Many clients also find it a useful tool for circulating to colleagues who may be involved in the design process. If this is your first Website, a temporary page is uploaded to the Internet to tell visitors your new Website is under construction and due to be launched in the coming weeks.
Project Team
Once the document is returned, a Development Team is allocated to your project and confirmation is given on a possible "go-live" date (normally two weeks from receiving the completed document). The dedicated Team Leader will review the completed document and contact you if there are any points that need clarifying. Once this stage has been reached, the Team Leader passes your requirements to the Development Team and coding your new Website begins.
Website testing
Once your new Website is uploaded to an off-line area of your site, we begin testing the site and ensure various components of the Website are operating as they should. This is your first opportunity to see the finished Website and also to make any last minute "tweaks" to site content.
Setting up your Email
To make sure all Email hyperlinks are functioning properly on your Website, you will need to create new business Email addresses on your business computers. We take you through the process of updating your Email client i.e Outlook Express and confirm Usernames and Passwords to be used. Once this has been finalised, we ask you to check the Email hyperlinks on your Website to ensure they are delivered to your Inbox successfully.
Live Website
Once testing has been completed successfully, we re-upload your new Website to the Internet and make it on-line to the general public.
