Our automated, Event Calendar software, allows Website visitors to subscribe to current and upcoming events, placed on the site by Website owners.

Accountants, for example, could post all key Inland Revenue deadlines on their site and allow visitors to subscribe to an automatic event reminder. Event Calendar, is becoming a popular tool amongst website owners. It adds a nice touch to any Website and is ideal for those businesses, trying to make their site more than just a glorified advertisement.

How Does It Work?

Website owners can add an unlimited number of events, split by user defined categories. They add an event title, venue, date and time event starts and finishes, description and contact details. These events then show on their website in a Calendar view, hence, the name. Depending on system settings, visitors can choose to view past and up and coming events by year, month, week or day.

To find more information about specific events, visitors can click on an item to view the full details. If they think it may be of interest to other contacts, they can send a system generated Email. If they want to be reminded of the event, they can ask the system to send an Email xx days in advance. Once events are created by users, the system handles all reminders without the need for any further user involvement.

Integration with your Website

For existing clients, a new page is created on your Website (based on your own design) to host the Events Calendar and links to the page, inserted in all pages. Once deciding to purchase Event Calendar, it can be up and running on your Website within a matter of days. There is a one-off cost associated with this system of £245 (plus VAT, where applicable).

Adding/Editing New Events

This is the first page when entering the system. Each event or activity is allocated a category to help locate events at a later stage. A Title, venue, start and finish dates and time are then entered. If it is a recurring event, the frequency can be input. For special attention, the event can be highlighted in the visitor interface. Finally, a full description can be entered using the inbuilt HTML Editor.

Listing Current Events

Users are able to list existing events by searching on date from and to, event title and category. Multiple events can be highlighted at the same time for easy deletion. A single click is required, taking the user in to event edit mode.

Create/Edit Categories

A simple interface to quickly add, delete and edit event types. An unlisted number can be set up. Each event can have a description, giving visitors additional information about the category.

System Preferences for our Event Calendar Tool

Users have the ability to set the beginning hour for day view, enable or disable year, month, week and day views, default calendar view and 12 or 24 hour clock. Default reminder notification in days can be set. Text to be included in tell-a-friend and reminder Emails can also be changed to meet user requirements. Various font settings can be adjusted as well as cell backgrounds.
