How Does It Work?

Once the system is integrated with existing Websites, access is available to your own Internet based Administration Panel. From there, an unlimited amount of categories can be created to store pictures, making it easier for visitors to select the type of pictures they wish to see on your Website. If you wish, certain categories can also be turned into Private Galleries, which are only viewable to those with password clearance.

 

The system offers two methods for uploading files. Files can be either, Bulk uploaded by using the Bulk Upload screen or uploaded individually via the Add Picture screen.

 

When uploading new pictures, the user has the ability to attach pictures to predefined categories (set up by them). Details, such as, Photo Title, Publish Date and Author can also be entered. These details are shown against each picture on the Website. Users can also define if the picture is to be shown straight away and if it should appear on the Photo Gallery Homepage.

 

When uploading new pictures, the system also has the ability to automatically resize all thumbnails and pictures. This saves having to create different picture sizes which can be very time consuming. Each picture can also have Copyright text and a Watermark placed on it to stop individuals copying and using images on your Website.

 

If you prefer to include some narrative about the pictures, then both brief and full descriptions can be attached to pictures. The full description utilises a very neat WYSIWYG Editor.

 

In the visitor front-end on your Website, the Photo Gallery Homepage will show a selection of pictures, defined by the Website owner. To view details of the picture and see a larger picture, visitors, simply, either, click the picture or the text decription underneath it. If visitors would rather view pictures by type, then they can easily view pictures by category. The system also offers search facilites making it, incredibly fast to locate pictures they are looking for. To either the left or right side of the main page, Website owners can define how many pictures are shown in each of the Random Picture and Latest Picture areas. In this section, there is also a User Login area, including facilities for forgotten passwords.

 

Apart from displaying all the information previously entered against each picture, the system also shows the number of hits for each picture. If Website Owners wish, they can also allow visitors to rate each picture and leave comments. Comments are put into a Pending folder, giving Website Owners the ability to view comments before uploading them live to the Website. Visitors can also view pictures as a Slideshow.

 

If defined in the Administration area, Website Owners can also allow visitors to upload pictures directly from their Website. These pictures are stored in a Pending Folder, giving Website Owners the ability to view pictures before uploading them to the live Website.

 

Integration with your Website

For existing clients, a new page is created on your Website (based on your own design) to host Photo Gallery and links to the page, inserted in all pages. For new clients, please refer to our Installation Support overview article in our FAQ section. Once deciding to purchase Photo Gallery, it can be up and running on your Website within a matter of days. There is a one-off cost associated with this system of £245 (plus VAT, where applicable).

 

What happens with your order

Once payment has cleared or when we have been notified by our Credit Card Payment Processor, we will contact you via Email (usually, within one working day) to confirm the installation process and the best method of contact.

For larger, more detailed images, please click the pictures.   Adding New Photos This is the first page when entering the system. There are a number of fields against each picture which can be completed or left blank.

Listing Current Photos This screen list all Photos within the system. Users can edit or delete these pictures from here. It is also a convenient place to change the sequence of each picture or to define if they appear in the Gallery or in the Gallery Homepage.

Create/Edit Categories/Galleries A simple interface to quickly add, delete and edit categories/galleries. An unlimited amount of categories and sub-categories can be created. From here, it is possible to define if particular categories/galleries are for membership viewing only.

Bulk Upload Photos From here, users can bulk upload pictures from their PC. They are also able to attach default values to each picture such as including watermarks or copyright notices.

Membership Details From here, users can define and edit members and allocate usernames and passwords. At user also has the ability to limit individual members to specific categories or galleries.

Picture & Comment Approval If users decide, visitors can upload pictures to the Galleries or leave comments against each picture, then this screen allows them to approve these before updating the live Website.

System Prference Settings From here, users can define the main system settings, such as, whether to allow visitors to upload pictures or post comments.
