Frequently Asked Questions
What Hosting facilities will I require?
Most leading Hosting Suppliers in the UK include all the latest software on their Servers to enable our Document Portal to run.
Since it is a database solution, it will require a MySQL database, running on a Linux Server (most websites run on the Linux platform). Most Hosting providers include at least two MySQL databases, as standard.
If they don’t offer this basic facility, then perhaps it is a good time to change supplier. If you would like to move your Hosting to us, then please complete the Contact Form at the bottom of this page and we will be glad to help you. We offer a first class Hosting & Email service for as little as £78 + VAT per year. This also includes a FREE SSL facility, amongst a host of other desirable features.
Do you offer a refund if it can't run on my existing Hosting platform?
Hopefully, this will not be an issue, since, the process is quite simple.
However, if for any reason our Client Document Portal is unable to run on your Hosting platform, then we will offer a full refund if made within 30 days of your order.
Will I need to download any software?
No, there is no software to download onto your local PC. Everything is handled by your Website.
What information will you require from me?
The easiest approach for you, is to put us in touch with your existing Web Designer, assuming they are responsible for your Website and Hosting.
If you have made your own Hosting requirements, then you can simply put us in touch with your current Hosting suppler. Typically, we would require access to your Hosting account, allowing us to create a new database and upload files.
If you would rather not give access to your Hosting Admin Panel, then we would require;
- FTP details for your Server, to allow us to upload the files.
- Host, Username and Password for your MySQL database
- For you to add a simple snippet of code to the web page, displaying the Login Form for your clients.
How do I pay for this service?
You can either pay online by clicking any of the Order links on this page, or you can contact us and we can process your order manually.
When you pay online, you can either pay by Credit/Debit Card or by Electronic Bank Transfer.
If paying by Credit/Debit Card, after creating an Account, you will be transferred to our Payment Processor, Paypal, to make the payment.
What is the implementation process?
Once we receive your Order and assuming we have not already spoken with each other, your order will be passed to your Dedicated Account Manager. They will contact you within four hours (usually quicker), to discuss the installation and suggest the best way to proceed.
Typically, many clients prefer to contact us and discuss their requirements before ordering, in which case, we would normally process the order manually and take payment via Bank Transfer.
How quick your Client Document Portal goes live, depends on how soon we can get all the neccessary information. It can be up and running within a matter of days.
