Our Frequently Asked Questions
With ProCMS+, clients can select from over 2500 Templates. ProCMS is based on either of our two, default Templates. Other than that, the services are identical.
Firstly, no on-site meetings are required. Our processes have been fined tuned over the years and we find it more productive, as our clients do, to discuss your requirements via telephone, email and even video calls, if you wish. When contacting us for the first time, you will be allocated a Dedicated Account Manager, who will be your first point of contact for the duration.
We develop websites around ready-made Templates/Designs, since, once modified, it gives you a virtual bespoke website at a fraction of the cost. Knowing what the website will feel like in advance, is very reassuring to our clients.
The fun part is deciding which of our high quality designs to use for your website. Most clients have at least three, they really like. We discuss the designs and explain how they can be modified to your requirements. Remember, unlike many other suppliers, our designs are not set in stone.
For Accountants, we build the initial 24 pages for them (14 for other indutries). Once live, unlimited training is given on all aspects of the Website, especially, how to edit content and how to add new pages and blog posts. Moving forward, we discuss how the website is performing and offer encouragement on extending it’s functionality to help you maximise the benefits of owning a terrific CMS, such as WordPress.
Although you do not have to transfer it to us, it is probably easier for you to do so. This gives you a single point of contact for anything to do with your Website, Domain Name and Email i.e we take responsibility for fixing it. We only charge £10 + VAT for Dot co.uk renewals, making us a very cost effective option. You will also benefit from our free SSL facility.
Their is no charge from us to transfer a Dot co.uk Domain. However, there is an additional charge of £15 + VAT for transferring a Dot com Domain but it does include an extra year being added to your renewal date.
Your Account Manager will deal with this for you.
Once you have decided to move forward with us, simply send us an Email to confirm. We will then reply to your email, confirming prices (if we haven’t already), send you what we call, a Next Steps Email, outlining the process we go through. Typically, this includes;
- A 50% deposit is required before the project can commence and can be made via Electronic Banking. Our bank details will be given to you at this stage.
- Once payment has cleared, we will register you a new Domain Name and help create Email addresses on your local PC, if required. An Invoice for the transaction will also be sent to you at this stage.
- Arrange a telephone meeting to discuss your requirements in more detail. You will also have to decide which Design Template is to be used.
- Send our Process Document for you to complete. This document will include our default content for Accountants or advice on writing good content, if another industry type.
- Development of your new site will commence. Typically, we will be in touch throughout this process, to clarify any points regarding the website.
- The finished Website will then be uploaded to our Development Server for you to see.
- Any tweaks are identified at this stage.
- Website completed on our development servers.
- At this stage, if you already have a Website, it will still be with your current supplier(s). In which case, we will start the process of transferring your Domain to our Servers. If your Email is with a third party, then your Email DNS settings will be copied over before transferring your Domain, to ensure there is no downtime.
- Final testing of your Website, Email links and Online Forms.
- Final Email is sent from us, confirming the website is now complete. This email will also include login details to our Customer Centre, where you will be able to renew your services when they become due.
- Payment due for the balance, one week after your initial revew, above.
- Unlimited, free on-going support for any Website or Website markeing related questions.
Quite simply, we do not feel it offers you the best return on your investment! The “one size fits all”, really is an old school approach to Accountant Web Design. Let us explain;
Websites are changing. They are becoming an everyday, pro-active business tool. A myriad of new Website Apps are appearing every year. Having the flexibility of deciding which Apps will be beneficial to your business, is the key to your Website’s success.
- Can those suppliers with a monthly contract model, absorb the cost of all these new Apps in their fees? Probably not!
- In which case, can they be trusted to give the best advice on what your Website is truely capable of i.e. are they going to bring these Apps to your attention?
- If they want to offer more functionality, will they increase their already inflated fees (sorry, we feel quite strongly about this), even though many clients may not require the additional facilities?
- Or do they charge one-off fees for each of the new Apps?
As you have now probably realised, we have come full circle.
- If they have reached the stage of having to keep up with competitors by offering one-off purchases, then why not just make all their services one-off payments?
- Or, perhaps, give clients the ability to terminate certain aspects of their service?
To us, at least, it seems like thse suppliers are asking their clients to “put all their eggs in one basket”, something that is never a good idea.
This is why we prefer our approach. It gives clients maximum flexibility. They know exactly what they get for their investment. We do not have any disgruntled clients, feeling they are paying too much for something they do not really need.
One other very important point;
Over the course of a typical seven year Website life cycle, you will pay a staggering 168%, 600% and even more, compared to three of our nearest competitors, adopting this very expensive business model. You have to ask yourself; exactly what am I getting for my investment? You will be surprised.
Very little, you will be pleased to learn. Typically, clients spend around one hour reviewing our Designs and creating a short-list of three. Some clients prefer and trust us to create a shortlist for them, saving them some time.
For our Accountant clients, we will send our default written content for you to edit. Typically, only the History and staff pages need to be edited.
For our other industries, the content process will take a little longer. After discussing a suitable website structure and advising on a what type of content to include, the client will then have to “fill in the gaps”. However, we do offer a lot of assistance during this phase, so no need to worry.
Other than selecting suitable pictures for your website, which takes around one hour (or we can do this for you, if you wish), or clarifying a few points during development, that’s more-or-less all the time you will have to spend on the project.
Simple edits to your Website are free-of-charge. If you want to change a line here or there, or, perhaps, replace a paragraph of written text, then there is no charge.
No, you are not tied to us for any limited contract period. In fact, there is no contract period. Although, from year two onwards, Hosting is payable in advance, you can leave at any time during that period without any penalties from us.
Since our Web Design process is, surprisingly simple, it is rare that any on-site meetings are required. This helps keep our costs down and is one of the key reasons why we are, typically, many thousands of pounds cheaper than many of our competitors for a comparable quality Website. However, if it makes you uncomfortable purchasing a Website from someone you haven’t, actually, met, then we are prepared to meet with with you at our location. Alternatively, we are also quite happy to arrange a Webcam meeting, if that is more convenient for you. We also supply references, if required.
This is something we hear a lot from clients who have moved to us from another supplier.
Typically, most of our clients are able to get through to their Account Manager on the telephone at the first attempt. This is one of the benefits of not having to spend much of our time at onsite meetings. If they are out, simply leave a message and they will get back to you as soon as they are back in the office. In which case, they will try and get back to you within two hours of your call.
If you are having a problem with your Email or Website, we rate these types of issues as high priority and an immediate fix to the problem is sought. Typically, these are resolved within two hours of receiving the call.
Simply, it knows no bounds! Our aim is to deliver a Virtual Bespoke Website. Typically, customisation includes and is not limited to;
- Changing the navigation options on the Main Menu
- Improving design of main navigation menu
- Adding more page layouts
- Changing all pictures, if required
- Removing various content blocks and replacing them with more suitable content
- Making better use of space by including animated sliding content blocks
- Changing certain colours, where appropriate
- Changing all written content
- Changing certain Font sizes and colours, even Font types
- Including additional web design techniques for greater impact
Yes, to all intents and purposes, you will. If this is your first Website, then we will have to register a new Domain Name for you, in which case, the Domain is registered under your name, giving you legal title to it. When you select one of our Templates, you purchase a lifetime licence to use the Template for your own Website. Therefore, if at any stage you are unhappy with our services for whatever reason, then you can, simply, take your Domain Name and Website to another supplier without any additional charges from us.
Please note, although you have purchased a lifetime licence for the Template, you are not allowed to resell the Template as your own.
We offer free help and advice throughout the whole process and beyond. In fact, you will be actively encouraged to tap into our expertise as many times as is required. Typically, this includes;
- Discussing the best structure for the Website.
- Discussing what your USP’s are and how to incorporate them.
- Discussing the number of pages required and what services require more pages
- Discuss the type of people who will visit your Website.
- Explaining what Search Engine Optimisation is and how to include it in your Website.
- Helping to write compelling written content (very important)
- Setting up Email accounts on your PC
- How best to market your Website
- And, much, much more.
When you become our client, we will, essentially, become your own Web Development expert and you can ask us about anything to do with your Website. Better still, our advice will always be free and we also make great efforts to ensure our advice is as impartial as it is possible to be.
Once you become a Website Owner, you tend to hear all sorts of things you should be doing with your Website and it can get quite difficult to decide what is good or bad advice. Being able to, simply, pick up the telephone or fire off a quick Email to get immediate answers, is something that we hope you become to enjoy as part of our standard service.
Remember, we are responsible for the smooth running of your Website and Email (if on our Servers). If you notice any issues, then simply call or Email us and we will try and resolve any issues within two working hours.
Changing your Web Design supplier is a common occurrence and the process for changing is quite simple.
Your new website will be created on our Development Servers, therefore, your existing website and email will remain, as is. Once your website is complete, you will have the opportunity of reviewing it on our Development Servers. Once you are happy and any “tweaks” have been made, we will then start the process of moving your Domain to our Servers.
Firstly, in the event you already use a third party email supplier, we will replicate your Domain’s Email DNS settings, before moving your Domain over. This eliminates any downtime. If you will be using our Email Servers, we can transfer your existing email over to our Servers and then synchronise your email, once the Domain has been fully transferred over. We do all this for you, so no need to worry about not having the technical expertise.
Yes, our WebPro service includes an unlimited amount of Email accounts to use on your Desktop and Mobile devices.
You will also have Internet access to your own Webmail account. This is very useful when you are away from your computer and need to access your email or send new email. Your Webmail is accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection.
You will also receive an unlimited amount of Email Forwarders, such as, info@, admin@ etc. Out of office automatic Email Responders are also available to you.
Your Account Manager will explain all of the above in much more detail and will help you setup your Email requirements.

Yes, you can add as many new pages as you wish. Full training is given and normally lasts for one and a half hours. It may be many weeks or months since you last used the Website’s Admin Panel, so unlimited refresher training is available any time you need it.
